MEET MARK

My name is Mark Becker and I am running for State Senate to represent Wisconsin’s 1st Senate District as an Independent.

I am a small business owner and lifelong resident of Northeast Wisconsin. Most importantly, I am a father who wants the world that my children inherit to be one in which they can not only survive, but thrive.

I am running as an Independent because I have always believed that there is more that unites us than divides us. As the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Brown County, I have witnessed, firsthand, how extreme politics and tribalism have warped the fabric of our state politics, for the worse.

As your next State Senator, I promise:

1) To listen to you;

2) To be honest with you;

3) To fight for you, regardless of if you voted for me or not.

I look forward to meeting you all on the campaign trail, and eventually, serving you in Madison!

IT’S NOT ABOUT left vs. right,

it’s about right vs. wrong

THE PROBLEM:

For far too long, our state’s elected officials have demonstrated that their loyalties lie with their partisan donors and special interests, and not the people that they have sworn to serve.

Instead of building community and focusing on the issues that are most important to our state, today’s politicians are focused on dividing us for their own political gain.

THE Result:

  • A skyrocketing cost-of-living, and stagnant wages that have failed to keep up.

  • Chronically underfunded schools, leading to soaring property taxes.

  • An unaccountable and unresponsive state government when it comes to the rising costs of groceries, healthcare, and housing.

WISCONSIN’S 1ST SENATE DISTRICT

Our District is distinctly Wisconsin. Located on Wisconsin’s “thumb,” the 1st Senate District (SD-01) stretches from the tip of Washington Island all the way to the southeastern shores of Lake Winnebago.

SD-01 is home to nearly 180,000 Wisconsinites (2020), hundreds of miles of shoreline, and Wisconsin’s famous Door Peninsula. The district comprises all of Door and Kewaunee counties, nearly all of Calumet County, as well as parts of Brown, Manitowoc, and Outagamie counties.
